Theresa M. Grant
- Chairwoman and Founder
| Theresa has dedicated her life to helping disadvantaged children get access to quality educaiton. In 2005 she quit her job as a marketing executive in the Silicon Valley and sold all of her possessions to fulfill a calling she had to make a difference in Africa. She moved to an orphanage on a farm outside of Lusaka, Zambia. Finding so much joy and satisfaction from making a difference in the lives of others, Grant helped start the international side of C2BU, an organization focused on helping people find their purpose in life. After working for two years with C2BU, Grant decided to start her own organization solely dedicated to empowering children in need called, Make A Difference (MAD). |

| Grant has a BS in International Relations and a BA in Spanish. She has supervised hundreds of volunteers from countries around the world including Australia, Belgium, China, India, Israel, Sweden, Tanzania, UK, USA and Zambia helping empower disadvantaged children. |
Rama Srinidhi
- Director of MADI (India)
A post graduate in science M.Sc (Electronics), Trained HR Facilitator and a teacher in French and English languages. She has conducted various programmes in personality development/ English language training for executives, and undergraduate students. Rama has been actively involved with Mitra Jyothi, Bangalore, and Make A Difference in Zambia. She is well known by our volunteers for her incredible homemade chai, South Indian dishes as well as her extremely nurturing and hospitable nature. |

M.A. Srinidhi
- Director of MADI (India)
| Alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and Indian Institute of management, Calcutta. As an SME specialist, Srinidhi has successfully turned around 5 units and has contributed to improved performance in a large number of industries. Nidhi is our "Go To Man" for anything you want to know about organizational and business work in India. He is a background of developing and aiding businesses around the world. | ![]() |
Emmanuel Joseph
- Volunteer Project Assistant, Tanzania
| Emmanuel Joseph holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from St. Augustine University of Tanzania. He has been working with MAD since September of 2010 as a volunteer project coordinator, Swahili teacher and translator. When we have volunteers, Emmanuel is normally on the ground showing them how to get around Moshi and getting them involved in our projects. He is great with the children and can often be found either playing football or reading with them. He was born and raised in the Kilimanjaro Region of Tanzania and works out of our MAD Tanzania office. | ![]() |
Erasmus Anselim
- Local Part-time Executive Assistant, Tanzania
| Erasmus Anselim started working with MAD as our first local volunteer in Tanzania, in October of 2009. We were so impressed with him as a volunteer that we hired him as a cultural ambassador and eventually as MAD’s executive local assistant. During his time with MAD Erasmus has taught our volunteers Swahili and about the culture of Tanzania. In addition, he has helped us with translating, bookkeeping, developing local community partnerships and with tutoring the kids. He was born and raised in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania. Currently, MAD is helping to support Erasmus in pursuing a degree in environmental studies at the University of Dar es Salaam. | ![]() |
