Make A Difference Now
We are thrilled to welcome Zainab Madan to the Make A Difference Now (MAD Now) team as our Executive Assistant & Marketing/Growth Coordinator.
Zainab is Tanzanian born and raised, with deep roots in Moshi, and brings a rare and powerful perspective to this role—someone who fully understands both Tanzanian and U.S. systems, cultures, communication styles, and expectations. This bicultural fluency makes her uniquely positioned to support our CEO, strengthen cross-cultural collaboration, and help MAD Now continue to grow with integrity and impact.
Academic Excellence Meets Real-World Experience

Her academic journey reflects her deep interest in human potential, equity, and evidence-based decision-making—values that sit at the core of MAD Now’s work.
Her background includes:
Research experience exploring human creativity, AI tools, and data analysis, including hands-on work with large language models, analytics, and visualization
Community-based education and nonprofit experience in Moshi, Tanzania, including teaching, donor coordination, fundraising support, and family outreach
Exposure to healthcare and research systems in Tanzania through work with Kilimanjaro Clinical Research Institute and Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre
Leadership roles supporting international students, DEI initiatives, tutoring, and program coordination in the U.S.
Why This Matters for MAD Now
Zainab brings together:
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Clear, thoughtful communication
Cultural humility and lived experience
A deep understanding of both grassroots community work and U.S.-based nonprofit operations
In her role, Zainab supports the CEO, keeps teams aligned around KPIs, strengthens our marketing and growth efforts, and helps ensure that our work remains efficient, measurable, and mission-driven—while staying grounded in the local realities of Tanzania.
We are incredibly excited to have Zainab on the team and look forward to the leadership, insight, and heart she brings to Make A Difference Now as we continue empowering youth and communities locally and globally.
